A photography workshop between Italy and Senegal, promoted by Fondazione Garuzzo, in collaboration with ISIA Urbino, the Embassy of Italy in Dakar, and the Italian Cultural Institute of Dakar.
A cultural cooperation and training project focused on photography, understood as a shared language and a tool for dialogue, capable of activating practices of exchange and collective production.
The programme will begin in the first week of June with two workshops in Dakar and Saint-Louis, involving students and faculty from ISIA Urbino and several Senegalese academic institutions, such as GAEC Africa and Université Gaston Berger.
The works produced will be presented in November 2026 in a group exhibition at the Italian Cultural Institute of Dakar, as part of Dak’Art OFF — the collateral programme of the Dakar Biennale of Contemporary Art.
The project will be completed with a bilingual publication, in Italian and French, with graphic design by ISIA Urbino. This will be followed by a book tour presenting the publication in major Italian cities between winter and spring 2027.
